SafetyChain Software is looking for a Business Development Representative to identify interest and qualify prospective buyers for our Saas Plant Management Platform.  

Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating leads for our inside and outside sales teams. Along with building new business for Safetychain, BDR’s also have the opportunity to nurture our existing customer base and drive additional revenue. They play an integral role in helping our customers increase efficiency throughout their organizations. BDR’s will get additional insight into our sales cycle, forecasting tools, and sales methodologies - this role is a great way to jump start a career in sales.

What You Will Do:

As part of the Sales team, the Business Development Representative will be responsible for engaging with prospective buyers by phone, email and social media to convert their interest into attention and set qualified appointments for your regional sales managers. You will generate appointments from a mixture of sources including inbound leads, existing leads and social networking. Working remotely from your home office you will be supported by our marketing team.

Requires:

  • 2+ years of experience in software business development and/or sales.
  • Eagerness to learn new skills, grow professionally, and take on new challenges.
  • Self-starter with strong motivation to succeed in sales.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant or distribution facility in Quality Management and Food Safety highly desired.
  • Experience with safety, quality and compliance systems a big plus
  • Passion for technology and familiarity with Saas (software as a Service) platforms
  • Committed to customer satisfaction and a passion for customer success.
  • Ability to work independently and through teams, at multiple organizational levels.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Creative, consultative, and a strong communicator.
