The Role

As a member of the Solutions Engineering team, our Sales Solutions Engineer will have a significant impact on growing revenue by working closely with customer-facing teams to develop and deliver robust mobile and field solutions that transform our customer’s business operations by digitizing their manual processes.

What You Bring

  • Experience working for GoCanvas/Device Magic
  • Pre-Sales B2B software experience (SMB preferred)
  • Skillset to establish trust with clients, and ability to influence key decision-makers in the sales cycle
  • Experience with cloud technologies - iPaaS, SaaS applications, cloud infrastructure, etc.
  • Experience building and delivering Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and responding to functional & technical elements of RFIs/RFPs independently and effectively
  • Passion for leading technical discussions
  • Passion for technology and translating that passion into business impact for customers
  • Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and presentation skills in front of all audiences.
  • Ability to travel (10%) and work flexible hours throughout the sales territory
  • Help implement and build out clients that have been scoped by the Solutions Engineering team

Your Most Important Initiatives

  • Support sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions
  • Achieve a profit and productivity quota made up of the combined expectations of the sales resources supported.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Support sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions.
  • Performing technical discovery qualification, making architectural recommendations for the solution, delivering product demonstrations and PoCs, and troubleshooting technical configuration issues engagements.
  • As a passionate technologist and customer advocate, you will connect the dots between the technical solution to business value for the customer.
  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the company.
  • Secures from customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deal’s “technical close.”
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth for teams supported.
  • Provide coaching and professional development to sales team members to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
  • Respond to functional & technical elements of RFIs/RFPs independently and effectively.
  • Leverage point of sale data, feedback, and trends to enhance our product marketing learnings, including:
  • Build on value messaging that sets our products apart from others in the market
  • Maintain competitive battle cards
  • Obtain insights into prospects usage of products and untapped opportunities
